Costa Rica

A Youth Camp in Puerto Viejo
Serving those in need—from an area in the world that has almost nothing when compared to many standards of living, especially in the United States.

Overview

After 15 years of God-driven, yet unexpected, projects in Costa Rica—including new churches in Sixiola and Bri Bri, a skate park Puerto Viejo, food ministries, & support of the local Indian Tribe of indigenous people in Bri Bri—God moved our team to help create Epicentro, a youth camp on 5 acres in the jungle area of Limone, Costa Rica in 2024.

This project became a reality, due only to the hard work of our dear brothers and sisters in Christ, driven by Pastors Jeffry and Arimas Bejorno Smith. We met this God-loving couple 15 years ago, when they got married and committed their lives to serving Christ's kingdom in this remote area of Costa Rica.

Glory to God—several of the adult counselors at camp are, in fact, students who were part of the original journey 15 years ago—when they were wee kids in a lost jungle! Only God!

Background

Our main partners in Costa Rica are Pastors Jeffry and Arimas Bejorno Smith. We met this God-loving couple 15 years ago, when they first got married and committed their lives to serving Christ's kingdom in this remote area of Costa Rica.

Epicentro Prioritizes:

  1. Making God's message a priority, while partnering with local remote churches to expand ministry opportunities and pull resources to reach those in need with God's love.

  2. Promoting social justice by providing food, clothing, and basic necessities in a welcoming, safe environment to children in need.

  3. Equipping members of remote communities to learn of a God who loves and wants the absolute best for his children.

  4. Providing support for youth in a hardened reality of neglect and despair—teen suicide is a serious and real problem for disengaged youth in the jungle area.

Thank You

Mission

We Aim to Rescue the Youth

Currently the school is serving 20 students. With our help, Pastor Sidney is building a new facility that will double and possibly triple the number of students Rescued-to-Tell can serve.

Looking Ahead

Over the next few years, we aim to raise enough money to renovate a new school and acquire our own fully functioning property.

Community

How We're Helping

We help the community in many ways, including educating youth and providing them with a sense of purpose.

Our Needs

How You Can Help

Financial help and prayer support are our greatest needs. Rescued-To-Tell knows how to help their people and their community, but they need financial assistance to do this great work.
